Sorba Thomas walks away unhurt after car overturns near Hull training base

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped without injury after his car overturned in a crash close to the club’s training ground on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old’s grey Land Rover Defender ended up on its roof on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, not far from the Tigers’ facility. Images from the scene showed the vehicle with smashed windows and significant damage, but Thomas was able to climb out unharmed.

Emergency services were called to the incident, with Humberside Police confirming they remained at the scene while investigations continued and urging the public to avoid the area.

Hull City later moved to calm fears among supporters after photographs of the wrecked car began to circulate online.

In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn Thomas had not been hurt in the crash. They added that the winger “has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”

Thomas only joined Hull earlier this month from Stoke City and is still at the very start of his spell with the club. For Hull, the priority today is simple: their new signing is safe, and his season can go on.
