Team news: Madrid light in the middle
Mourinho’s biggest headache lies in midfield.
Real Madrid are without the suspended Eduardo Camavinga, Bernardo Silva and Arda Guler. Camavinga and Guler are serving bans from last season’s quarter-final defeat to Bayern Munich, while Silva is suspended after his red card in Manchester City’s last-16 loss to Madrid.
On top of that, Aurelian Tchouameni is a doubt with injury. If he doesn’t make it, Madrid’s midfield options thin out quickly, leaving Mourinho to juggle his structure in the centre of the pitch on a night when control will be everything.
