Juventus Concerned Over Locatelli's Knee Issue After Milan Draw

Juventus face an anxious wait over captain Manuel Locatelli after the midfielder reported a knee problem following Sunday night’s 1-1 draw with Milan at the Allianz Stadium.

The Italy international finished the full 90 minutes in Turin, but, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and others, he felt discomfort in his knee towards the end of the Serie A clash and flagged it to the medical staff.

The issue was serious enough for Juventus to schedule immediate checks. Locatelli is set to report to JMedical, where he is expected to undergo tests in the coming hours as the club look to understand the extent of the problem.

For Juventus, the timing could hardly be worse.

Their midfield is already stretched. Khephren Thuram, a regular starter since his arrival, has undergone knee surgery and is not expected back until early 2027. Losing Locatelli for any significant period would rip out another key piece of the team’s core.

Should the captain be sidelined, Luciano Spalletti will be forced to lean heavily on Weston McKennie, Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners and summer signing Pape Matar Sarr to carry the load in central midfield.
