James Maddison Returns for Tottenham Against Everton
James Maddison is set to make his return for Tottenham against Everton after recovering from a shoulder problem.
The midfielder has missed Spurs’ last three games in all competitions but Roberto De Zerbi confirmed he is now ready to be involved, offering a timely boost as Tottenham look to sharpen their attacking edge.
The news is less positive for Dejan Kulusevski. The Swede has not trained over the past week and will stay on the sidelines. He had only recently rejoined full training after more than a year out with a knee injury, but a minor setback has halted his progress.
No, Kulusevski is not working with us the last week,” De Zerbi said. “It’s not a big problem. It’s a normal problem.
Mykhailo Mudryk is also out. De Zerbi described it as a “stupid injury”, with Spurs opting for caution as the winger continues to rebuild fitness after a long spell without regular football.
It was a stupid injury for Mudryk, but we hope he will be back soon,” De Zerbi added. “It’s a normal process when a player has not played in a long time.
Maddison back, Kulusevski and Mudryk still missing: De Zerbi’s attacking options are slowly returning, but not all at once.
