Eli Junior Kroupi Nominated for Men’s Young Talent of the Year
Eli Junior Kroupi’s breakout year has earned him a place on one of football’s most prestigious shortlists.
The Bournemouth forward has been nominated for the Men’s Young Talent of the Year award ahead of the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony, recognition of a debut campaign that lit up the Premier League.
At 20, Kroupi is one of three Premier League players in the 10-man shortlist, joining Manchester City’s Ayyoub Bouaddi and Aston Villa’s Johan Manzambi in flying the flag for English football’s next generation.
He only made his Bournemouth debut in August 2025. From there, he accelerated.

Right now, though, his rise is on pause. A foot injury in pre-season, followed by surgery, has kept him out of Bournemouth’s start to the new campaign. He has yet to feature this season, with his return pencilled in for October or November.
When he does step back onto the pitch, he will do so as a player suddenly carrying a different weight: not just a promising youngster at Bournemouth, but a Ballon d’Or nominee with Europe watching to see what comes next.
