Edo Queens Aim for Perfect Finish Against Ampem Darkoa Ladies

Edo Queens head coach Kennedy Boboye has made it clear: there will be no easing off in their final WAFU B Women’s Champions League group game against Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The Nigerian champions have already sealed a place in the semi-finals after winning their first two matches, but Boboye is refusing to treat the last group fixture as a dead rubber. He wants intensity. He wants standards maintained.

“We don’t have any player to rest; it’s only one of our defenders who was ruled out of the tournament due to a head injury,” Boboye said ahead of the matchday three clash, underlining his intention to keep the competition for places fierce.

The message inside the camp is simple: everyone is on duty.

Boboye stressed that every available player remains fully engaged and ready to contribute when called upon. “All the players in the squad will come out and play when needed, and they will surely give their all to the team,” he added.

For Edo Queens, this is about more than topping a group. The stakes stretch far beyond this regional tournament. The eventual winners of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League will secure a coveted ticket to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
