Chelsea's Xabi Alonso to Finalize Starting XI for Brentford Clash

“In terms of injuries, no one is ruled out for Friday so I prefer to be cautious,” Alonso said, making it clear that the final word will come only after the last training session. “Moises Caicedo is getting closer to fitness. We will see Reece James’ development before deciding.”
Caicedo’s progress has been described as rapid, but Alonso refused to promise minutes for the midfielder before seeing how he comes through late physical tests. The message is simple: no risks, not with a long season ahead and an international break looming.
