Ajax Fans Demand Abdellah Ouazane as Oscar Gloukh Struggles
In Amsterdam, the scoreline told one story. The stands told another.
Ajax and PSV went toe to toe in a finely balanced first half, but every misplaced touch from Oscar Gloukh was met with a rising wave of irritation from the home crowd. The frustration quickly turned into a plea for something new, something fresh. Specifically, for Abdellah Ouazane.
The 17-year-old has impressed in recent weeks, and his name echoed around the debate as the first half wore on. “Why isn’t Ouazane playing? He is five times the player Gloukh is, surely,” one fan wrote. Another pushed the idea further: “Gloukh off for a quick shower and bring Ouazane on.”
On the pitch, the contest with PSV remained tight. In the stands, the verdict on Gloukh felt far more decisive – and the clamour for Ouazane only grew louder with every sprint Dest was allowed to make unchecked.
