Tyson Fury Plans to Invite Donald Trump for Anthony Joshua Fight

Tyson Fury is known for turning his fights into grand events, with spectacular entrances that hype up the crowd and viewers before the first bell. For his upcoming match against Anthony Joshua, set for December 11 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, he appears ready to continue this trend, but with an unexpected twist involving former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Long-Awaited Fury vs Joshua Showdown

After years of delays caused by stubborn negotiations and untimely losses for both fighters, the heavyweight clash between Fury and Joshua is finally set to take place in the UK. Fury has openly admitted he wants the biggest payday possible, even if it risks the fight falling through. Initially, when talks suggested a venue like New York's Madison Square Garden, Fury was eager to sign due to the lucrative payout. But Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn insisted the fight remain on British soil, a stance so strong that Joshua accepted a significant pay cut to make it happen.

In the end, the nearly 74,000-capacity stadium in Cardiff was chosen as the battleground.

Fury’s Legendary Ring Walks

No matter the location, Fury's ring entrances have always been elaborate. In 2020, during his rematch with Deontay Wilder at MGM Grand, he made a regal appearance wearing a crown and sitting on a throne. The 2021 trilogy fight saw him dressed as a Spartan warrior walking out to AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long." His 2022 defense against Dillian Whyte at Wembley combined songs like "American Pie," "Jerusalem," and "Your Sex Is On Fire" alongside English flag-inspired gear. Even his bouts with Oleksandr Usyk featured standout entrances, including playing "Holding Out For A Hero" in May 2024 and opening with "All I Want For Christmas Is You" in their December rematch.

Trump’s Possible Role in the Upcoming Fight

For the upcoming mega-fight, Fury is reportedly looking to bring something new, offering Donald Trump the chance to join him during his ring walk. He said, "I'll definitely make that offer to my old buddy, and we'll see if he's available. It's probably unlikely because of the situation he's in at the moment, being the President of the United States."

Fury acknowledges Trump's busy schedule, especially with the mid-term elections looming and ongoing conflicts overseas. Given the fight is no longer in the U.S., Fury's estimate of Trump's availability seems realistic.
