Roma Targets Nicolo Tresoldi as New Striker

Roma’s search for a fresh focal point in attack has taken another sharp turn. With moves for Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville collapsing earlier in the month, the Giallorossi have now zeroed in on Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge as their next major target.

It is a profile Gian Piero Gasperini clearly wants. Young, mobile, aggressive in the final third, the German striker fits the kind of high-energy, vertical football the new Roma coach is expected to impose. When other options slipped away, the focus snapped quickly onto Tresoldi.

Talks are already under way. According to Il Tempo reporters Filippo Biafora and Lorenzo Pes, Roma have opened negotiations with Club Brugge to understand the terms of a potential deal and test the Belgian club’s resolve.

On the player’s side, there is no hesitation. Tresoldi has communicated his desire to join Roma, attracted by the chance to grow under Gasperini and step into Serie A at a club with clear attacking ambitions.

The obstacle lies elsewhere. Club Brugge are holding firm and continue to demand high figures before even thinking about a sale. Roma know the striker wants the move, but Brugge’s valuation remains the key battleground.
