Real Madrid have made their statement signing of the summer, winning the race for Ivory Coast sensation Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to £120m (€140m).
The 19-year-old winger has signed a seven-year contract at the Bernabeu, a commitment that underlines how heavily the European champions are betting on his future. If the full package of add-ons is triggered, Diomande’s fee will eclipse the £115m (€133.9m) Madrid agreed to pay Borussia Dortmund for Jude Bellingham in June 2023.
