Raphinha’s Hat-Trick Fuels Barcelona’s Dominant 7-2 Win Over Racing Santander
Raphinha delivered an outstanding hat-trick as Barcelona overwhelmed Racing Santander 7-2, extending their impressive winning streak this season. The Brazilian forward’s three goals brought his La Liga tally to nine, securing the match ball and highlighting his vital role in the team's offensive firepower.
Relentless Drive for Improvement
After the match, Raphinha shared that he never settles for his current performance, always pushing to get better. He mentioned feeling comfortable playing centrally when the team operates efficiently as a unit.
"It’s always important to think you need to improve in some area. I’m never going to tell you I’m doing well or that I’m at my best; I always try to improve everything I can. I can certainly give more to the team than I’m currently giving. I’m happy with the goals and the victory, which is the most important thing," said Raphinha.
Praise for Hansi Flick and Team Support
The forward credited Hansi Flick with transforming his mindset and boosting his confidence since joining the club. Raphinha also explained why he passed a penalty chance to young teammate Lamine Yamal during the first half, aiming to encourage him despite the miss.
"I think Lamine needed it at that point in the first half. He missed it, it’s okay. I can miss too; that’s normal. Whenever I can, I’m going to try to help him. Not just him, but Karim and Anthony as well. I know better than anyone that a striker needs his goal," Raphinha stated.
Confidence in Maintaining Their Top Spot
Looking forward, Raphinha believes the squad’s mindset and tactical approach put them in a strong position to remain at the top of European football. He emphasized their constant search for more goals and chances as a sign that the team’s potential hasn’t peaked yet.
"We have the mentality that whenever we can, we have to look for more goals, create more chances, and it shows on the field. We are much better positioned to score goals, and that’s why we have everything we need to be at the top," he concluded.
