Manchester United have signed off on the sale of Radek Vitek, banking a deal that could rise to £14 million and rewriting the financial ceiling for Championship goalkeepers in the process.
The 20-year-old has joined Middlesbrough, one of the division’s promotion chasers, after making it clear early in the summer that he would not settle for life as a No 3 at Old Trafford.
United’s goalkeeping reshuffle
