PSG Set to Sign Akliouche from Monaco
Paris Saint-Germain are about to add yet another weapon to Luis Enrique’s attack. This time, the move cuts straight through a domestic rival.

PSG have struck an agreement with Monaco for winger Akliouche, with the deal now described as imminent. After identifying the 24-year-old French international as a priority target for their frontline, the European champions moved quickly and decisively to get it done.

With Bradley Barcola widely expected to leave this summer, PSG have targeted Akliouche as the man to fill the gap on the flank and deepen Enrique’s rotation in the wide areas. From rejected bid to €50m agreement
Negotiations between the two French clubs never turned into a saga. Monaco initially rejected PSG’s opening offer of €45 million, confident in the value of a player who has grown into a key figure in the Principality.

Their improved proposal of €50m hit the mark. Monaco accepted, clearing the way for Akliouche to negotiate personal terms with the capital club and setting up one of the headline moves within Ligue 1 this window. For the player, it is a rare high-profile switch across the French top flight after spending his entire professional career with Monaco.
From academy prospect to European champion’s target
Akliouche’s story with Monaco began in 2018, when he entered the club’s youth academy. Three years later, in 2021, he broke into the first team. Since then he has steadily climbed the ladder, season by season, into one of the league’s standout attacking performers.
That rise has taken him onto the international stage. The 24-year-old has collected ten senior caps for France, scoring once for Les Bleus. He was part of the squad at the 2026 World Cup, where he featured off the bench in a 3-0 group-stage win over Iraq, replacing Barcola in the 83rd minute — a neat twist now that he is set to cover the same teammate’s potential exit at club level.
Medical in Paris and a long-term bet
The transfer is now in its final stretch. Akliouche travelled to Paris on Thursday to undergo his medical, the last formal hurdle before signing.
If, as expected, he passes those tests, he will sign a long-term contract running until June 2031 with the reigning European champions. No loan, no half-measure: this is a long-range investment in a player PSG believe can grow inside Enrique’s demanding system.
Once the paperwork is done, Akliouche will immediately join up with the squad and slot into the competition for places on the wing. In a side already stacked with attacking options, he now has the stage, the platform, and the pressure that comes with it.
