Portugal vs Wales: TV Channel, Kick-Off Time, and How to Watch the Nations League Match
International football action resumes with Wales returning to the top tier of the Nations League. They begin their campaign in Group A4 against the reigning champions, Portugal, who took home the trophy in 2025.
Wales, managed by Craig Bellamy, narrowly missed out on the World Cup after a painful penalty shootout loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina in their play-off. Their success in League B during 2024 has earned them promotion back to the highest level, where they now face the challenge of taking on Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates.
Despite some criticism over his performances during the World Cup and calls for younger players to step in, Ronaldo remains part of the Portuguese squad. The 41-year-old striker, who has yet to reach his ambitious target of 1000 career goals, is expected to use this fixture as another chance to narrow that gap. Former coach Roberto Martinez faced backlash for not dropping him, and the new manager, Jorge Jesus, continues to rely on Ronaldo's experience.
