Patrice Evra Endorses Manu Koné for Arsenal Move
Patrice Evra knows what it takes to survive English football’s storm. That is why, despite his status as a Manchester United great, he is urging fellow Frenchman Manu Koné to head straight into the eye of it at Arsenal.
Speaking to Stake, Evra made his case with conviction. Koné, he argued, is built for the Premier League. Not just technically, but physically and mentally.
“I like Manu Kone's profile for the Premier League. He has energy, he carries the ball, he likes duels and he works for the team,” Evra said, highlighting the attributes that tend to separate those who cope in England from those who get swallowed up by its pace.

“All of those things matter in England. The Premier League is faster. You don't get time to breathe. So the important thing is adaptation. Don't judge him after five games.”

“If he goes to Arsenal with a manager who knows how to use him, I think he can do well. He definitely has the tools. Then it is about consistency.”

While Evra talks up Koné’s potential impact in north London, Arsenal’s recruitment department is fixated on a different profile: Bruno Guimarães of Newcastle United.
The Brazilian has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions, and Arsenal are treating his signing as a priority. The move has drawn support from another heavyweight of the modern game, Chelsea legend Claude Makélélé.
