Napoli Targets Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee, and Nicolas Jackson to Boost Attack

Napoli is actively pursuing forwards Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee, and Nicolas Jackson as the club looks to strengthen its attacking lineup. This comes after Romelu Lukaku's exit to Fenerbahce, leaving a gap in the frontline.

Renewed Search for Firepower

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli has intensified its efforts to find a reliable goal scorer. The current roster includes David Neres, Rasmus Hojlund, Matteo Politano, and Alisson Santos, but the club seeks a more potent striker to keep up competitive momentum.

By scouting multiple players, Napoli aims to act quickly if an ideal opportunity emerges before the transfer window closes.

Gabriel Jesus: Proven Premier League Talent

Gabriel Jesus began his senior career at Palmeiras, where he earned accolades such as Best Newcomer in the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the Bola de Ouro in 2016. His efforts helped Palmeiras clinch their first national league title in over two decades.

He moved to Manchester City in 2017 for £27 million and collected four Premier League titles, three EFL Cups, and an FA Cup before transferring to Arsenal in 2022 for £45 million. Despite missing much of 2025 due to injury, he returned late in the year, scoring against Aston Villa after over 11 months out.

Joshua Zirkzee: Rising Star from Manchester United

Another option is Joshua Zirkzee, who rose through Bayern Munich’s youth ranks and made 17 first-team appearances. Loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht led to a permanent move to Bologna in August 2022.

Zirkzee shone in Serie A, earning a spot in the 2023–24 Team of the Year and the Best Under-23 player award, which led to his move to Manchester United in July 2024. His current situation at Old Trafford has attracted attention from clubs like Napoli.

Nicolas Jackson: Chelsea Forward with Bundesliga Experience

Nicolas Jackson advanced through Casa Sports and Villarreal before making his La Liga debut in 2021. Chelsea signed him in 2023 for around £32 million. He scored in the 2025 UEFA Conference League final versus Real Betis.

Jackson spent the 2025–26 season on loan at Bayern Munich for €16.5 million, scoring in the Champions League against Pafos and helping win the Bundesliga title by defeating VfB Stuttgart. Napoli is now seriously considering him among their top targets.
