Napoli Intensifies Effort to Sign Dani Ceballos with Formal Offer Ahead of Juventus
Napoli have increased their efforts to sign former Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos by putting forward a formal contract offer. The 30-year-old, now a free agent after leaving Madrid, has also drawn interest from Juventus and his childhood club Real Betis. Yet, the Neapolitan club seems determined to close the deal quickly as they look to strengthen their midfield under coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Competition from Turin
Reports indicate that Juventus are monitoring Napoli’s move closely. Although the Bianconeri considered acquiring Ceballos last summer, he is not currently at the top of their priorities. This situation gives Napoli an advantage to advance in negotiations without facing immediate pressure from rival clubs submitting firm bids.
Strategic and Financial Fit
Ceballos, who began his career at the Betis academy before joining Real Madrid in 2017, brings experience and creativity at the highest European level. His ability to add tactical control and calmness in midfield suits Napoli's ambitions across domestic and European competitions. Securing him on a free transfer offers a financial benefit, enabling the club to deepen their squad without risking budget constraints ahead of a demanding season.
Potential Quick Resolution
The player's camp is reviewing the current terms, and an agreement could materialize soon. Meanwhile, Napoli prepare to start their 2026-27 Serie A season against Genoa next Saturday. Coach Allegri aims to finalize the signing promptly to integrate the experienced midfielder before the team faces a busy fixture list.
