Milos Kerkez Praises Bradley Barcola's Swift Impact at Liverpool

Bradley Barcola, Liverpool's recent signing from Paris Saint-Germain, has made a notable impression on his teammates shortly after joining. The French forward settled in rapidly during training sessions at the AXA Training Centre as Liverpool prepared for their Premier League away match against Ipswich Town.

After two consecutive 2-2 draws with Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, Liverpool is eager to claim its first league win this season. Barcola's addition injects fresh energy and offers a new attacking threat heading into the game at Portman Road.

Kerkez Highlights Barcola's Talent

Left-back Milos Kerkez shared insights on Barcola’s early performances in training, praising the winger's speed, dribbling skills, and promise for growth. “He’s a great player. Everyone knows him, obviously. After just two or three sessions, you can see both his quality and room to improve. He could become a really good player,” Kerkez said. He added, “Really fast, a good dribbler, so I think he’s going to help us a lot.”

Defensive Focus Alongside New Attack

Though Barcola provides offensive dynamism, Kerkez explained that Liverpool spent the week working on defensive transitions. The team conceded four goals in the first two matches, prompting video analysis sessions aimed at reducing errors and avoiding early deficits.

“For us, especially as defenders, we want clean sheets and the target is you don’t want them to score. We worked to correct those things this week, so I think it should get better,” Kerkez noted. “We had meetings and video analysis regularly. Obviously, we don’t want to come back from behind – we want to start winning from the beginning.”

Preparation Ahead of Ipswich Clash

Liverpool’s coaching staff studied Ipswich Town thoroughly ahead of Friday’s fixture. The newly promoted side, coached by Gary O’Neil, has one win and one loss so far. Kerkez confirmed that the team analyzed every opponent player and tactical aspect.

“I think obviously we’re analyzing everything, so we will know what to expect from every player, from the tactics. Every game we do, we come really prepared,” he said.

With Barcola pushing for his debut and defensive improvements underway, Liverpool aims to secure a victory and maintain a clean sheet in their next outing.
