After reuniting with adidas, Liverpool FC has revealed their new home and away kits for the 2026-27 season. The home shirt brings back the classic three stripes at Anfield, while the away kit takes cues from notable mid-1980s designs with a clean white look accented by red and grey.
Fans can now purchase the new kits starting from 30, available through adidas.
Home Kit: Release Date and Design
The home jersey launched on May 19, 2026. It draws inspiration from the iconic 1989-91 adidas Liverpool FC home shirt, famous for its bold geometric pattern. This era was marked by success, including the 1989/90 league title under Kenny Dalglish. The design blends that period’s spirit with a modern twist, featuring a deep red base enhanced by an updated graphic.
White details on the club crest, adidas logo, and trims add a sharp contrast, reflecting the classic feel. The all-over print channels the energy of 1980s football culture in a fresh style.
Away Kit: Vintage Style Meets Modern Elements
The away kit also debuted recently, echoing the club’s 1980s away shirts. It sports a pure white foundation highlighted with red and grey accents. A heritage Liver bird crest pairs with the adidas Trefoil logo, reinforcing a retro vibe introduced by the new partnership.
Within the fabric lies a subtle pattern inspired by old Anfield match tickets, a nod to the club’s loyal supporters over generations. The kit combines streetwear influences with these historic touches, replacing the usual performance logo with the classic Trefoil. Maroon logos and striped trims on the collar and sleeves complete the look.
Third Kit Preview and Launch Plans
The third kit is expected to be the most daring among the trio. Leaks describe it as a black base adorned with a sweeping maroon wave pattern across the torso and sleeves. This design aims to capture the motion of checkerboard flags waved passionately by fans on the Kop during European fixtures.
The third kit is anticipated for release in August 2026, rounding out Liverpool’s new collection.
