Inter Milan Pursues Moussa Diaby with €40m Bid

Inter Milan have come back for Moussa Diaby – and this time they are serious.

The Italian giants have lodged a €40 million bid with Al-Ittihad for the France winger, according to media figure Mohammed Al-Bukairi, as they push to prise him out of Saudi Arabia before the close of the summer window.

This is no opportunistic move. Diaby has forced his way back into the European market with a sharp, aggressive pre-season, answering the doubts that trailed him at the end of last term. Technically slick, physically sharp, he has looked like a player on a mission, and scouts have taken note.

Inside Al-Ittihad, the offer has landed with real weight. The club’s hierarchy are dissecting it from every angle – footballing value, financial upside, squad balance – before signing off on any decision about his future. They know what they would be losing: pace on the flank, direct running, a winger who can stretch any back line.

They also know this is not Inter’s first knock at the door.

Last summer, the Nerazzurri tried to pull Diaby out of Jeddah, only to be rebuffed. Al-Ittihad stood firm then, rejecting the approach and backing their project, even as the player himself was open to the idea of a move.

Now the situation feels different. Inter have returned with a concrete €40m on the table. Diaby has rebuilt his stock with his pre-season form. Al-Ittihad are no longer dealing with hypotheticals, but a hard number and a restless suitor.

The question is no longer whether Inter want him. It is whether Al-Ittihad are prepared to let a rejuvenated Diaby walk at the moment he looks ready to explode.
