According to COPE journalist Helena Condis, the French forward is pushing for a move to the Catalan giants this summer, placing himself firmly among the alternatives to Barcelona’s priority target, Julian Alvarez.
Barcelona have already moved quietly in the background. Exploratory talks have been held with Kroupi’s entourage and with Bournemouth, testing the waters, sounding out the possibilities. The message from the player’s side is clear: he sees the Spotify Camp Nou as the destination.

After a breakout debut season in the Premier League in 2025/26, the youngster now wants the stage to match his ambition. To make that stance unmistakable, the Premier League side have placed a huge €130 million price tag on him — a figure designed less to invite negotiation and more to shut it down.
For Barcelona, that valuation is a red flag. If they hesitate to go above €100 million for their main target Alvarez, matching or approaching €130 million for a less proven, albeit highly talented, 20-year-old becomes a daunting prospect.
A Race Against Time

Barcelona’s offer for Alvarez, lodged with Atletico Madrid, is not open-ended. It is set to expire at the end of this month. If there is no breakthrough with Atleti, the Catalans may be forced to look more seriously at their Plan B options. That is where Kroupi comes back into sharp focus.
If Alvarez remains out of reach, Barcelona could decide to step up their pursuit of the Bournemouth striker, testing just how firm that “not for sale” stance really is. But every scenario runs into the same obstacle: Bournemouth’s resistance and the price attached to it.
