Napoli has reportedly set sights on Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile following an injury setback for their squad. The French centre-back, who joined Chelsea in January 2023 for around 35 million, was once a promising addition. However, persistent injuries and inconsistent performances have seen him slip down the ranks across multiple managerial changes.
Despite initial hopes of revitalizing his role under new coach Xabi Alonso, Badiashile is not considered part of the current plans. This suggests he might not increase his tally beyond 71 appearances over three-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge.

According to reports from The Sun, Napoli’s pursuit follows the injury of defender Alessandro Buongiorno. The Italian club is said to be ready to offer Badiashile a three-year contract. There’s indication that the player himself is open to moving to Naples before the 2026-27 season kicks off.
Last season, Badiashile featured just 16 times in total, with only eight outings in the Premier League, reflecting his struggle to secure consistent playing time.

Chelsea might be aiming for roughly 30-35 million in transfer fees based on valuations of players like Trevoh Chalobah, who currently holds a stronger reputation. Yet, Badiashile remains bound by a lengthy contract signed in 2023 that extends over seven years, meaning any deal would likely need to fetch close to 20 million to avoid financial losses.
