Jesus Joins Barcelona
The Catalan club agreed with Arsenal to acquire Jesus for an initial fee of €10 million. The forward traveled to Catalonia on Monday and signed a two-year contract. He was present at Camp Nou to witness his new team defeating Rayo Vallecano 5-2, marking Barcelona's third consecutive league win.
Flick Reacts to Bargain Transfer
Hansi Flick admitted he did not anticipate such a late opportunity to sign the Premier League forward. Quoted by ESPN, Flick said, "I was a little surprised we had the opportunity to get him. I really love him, I like his style to play football; it fits with our style. I think he can help us a lot in the games."
Deco Praised for Busy Transfer Window
Alongside Jesus, Barcelona strengthened their squad extensively this summer. Sporting director Deco secured additions including Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Rodri, Joao Cancelo, and Dominik Livakovic. Flick highlighted Deco’s role in bringing Jesus to the club, saying, "For us, he can be an important player, so thanks to Deco because again he made an excellent job."
Earlier attempts to sign Julian Alvarez were blocked by domestic rivals Atletico Madrid, who refused to negotiate.

Although Barcelona remains open to signing a centre-back before the transfer window closes on Tuesday evening, Flick downplayed any chances of further arrivals. When asked about new signings in the final hours, he responded, "I don't think so, but we will see."
