Venues for Preseason Matches

Barcelona played against Birmingham City at the Championship side’s home, St Andrew's Stadium, during their UK training camp at St. George's Park—England’s national team training ground. The short matches with Nottingham Forest and Udinese took place at Udinese’s Stadio Friuli in Italy. Their 5-2 win over Swiss club Basel was on the road at St. Jakob-Park. The traditional Joan Gamper Trophy will return to Camp Nou for the first time since 2022, following stadium renovations.

Return of World Cup Players

Frenkie de Jong joined the squad in England after the Netherlands exited the World Cup in the Round of 32, though a knee injury sidelines him for now. Other World Cup participants rejoined for the Udine trip. Spain’s World Cup winners, alongside defender Jules Kounde from France and winger Anthony Gordon from England, were active in the Basel game.

First La Liga Fixtures for 2026/27 Season
