Abdukodir Khusanov has tied his future to Manchester City, signing a new five-year deal that underlines both his rapid rise and the club’s faith in him as a cornerstone of their next era.
The 22-year-old defender, who made history in January 2025 as the first Uzbek player to join a Premier League club, has quickly moved from curiosity to core asset at Etihad Stadium. Thirty-seven appearances under Pep Guardiola in his first full campaign told their own story.
