Fixtures Announcement

The schedule for both the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga was published on July 2, 2026. While the matchweeks are set, exact dates and kickoff times remain flexible due to TV scheduling, European matches, and the DFB-Pokal cup fixtures.

Season Timeline

  • Start Date: August 9, 2026 — a bit earlier than last season
  • End Date: May 22, 2027 — extending a week later than usual

International Breaks

The international break schedule shifts slightly for 2026-27. Instead of three one-week breaks in autumn, there will be one two-week break and a separate one-week break. No league games will happen on the weekends of September 26, October 3, and November 14. Another break falls on the weekend of March 27.

UEFA Competition Dates

Seven German clubs will compete in Europe’s top tournaments next season: four in the Champions League, two in the Europa League, and one in the Conference League.
