Zeidane Inoussa Set for Loan Move to Portsmouth

Swansea winger Zeidane Inoussa is set to swap South Wales for the south coast, with a loan move to Championship rivals Portsmouth lined up for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old arrived at Swansea only last summer from BK Hacken for a significant fee, billed as a powerful wide option with room to grow after breaking through in Sweden and featuring for Sweden Under-21s. The first year has not gone to plan. Injuries disrupted his rhythm, and he finished the campaign with just one goal in 29 appearances, a modest return for a long-term investment tied to the club until 2030.

Now the landscape at Swansea has shifted again. The club have brought in Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku, with Manchester City youngster Jeremy Monga also on the verge of joining. With fresh pace and competition arriving in wide areas, Inoussa has slipped down the pecking order and Swansea are prepared to let him leave to find minutes elsewhere.

Portsmouth are ready to take advantage. The move offers Inoussa a reset in the same division, a chance to show why Swansea committed to such a lengthy contract, and an opportunity for Pompey to add depth and direct running out wide without a permanent outlay.

He is not the only winger Swansea are looking to move on. They are keen to offload Florian Bianchini after his underwhelming loan spell at Portsmouth last season, while uncertainty also hangs over the future of fellow wide player Ronald as the club reshape their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
