Yvann Titi Signs New Contract with ESTAC Troyes Until 2029

Yvann Titi has shut the door on his growing list of admirers – at least for now.

The 20-year-old defender has signed a new contract with ESTAC Troyes, tying himself to the newly promoted Ligue 1 club until 2029, despite concrete interest from major French sides including AS Monaco and Lille OSC, as well as suitors from abroad.

For Troyes, it is a statement renewal. For Titi, it is a clear choice: development over a quick leap.

A World Cup runner-up with France’s U-17s three years ago, Titi has been on Troyes’ books for six years, rising through the ranks while his reputation quietly expanded beyond the club’s borders. This summer, several foreign clubs circled, but Troyes moved to secure one of their most promising assets before the market could truly heat up.

Titi offers more than just potential. He offers versatility and speed. Able to line up both as a centre-back and a right-back, he brings a burst of pace and an extra attacking lane for Stéphane Dumont’s side, qualities that have quickly made him a key part of the coach’s plans.

His Ligue 1 debut arrived last weekend, a landmark moment as ESTAC battled to a 0-0 draw with Paris FC. It was a quiet scoreline, but an important step: a first taste of the top flight for a player Troyes now see as central to their long-term project.

Last season, in Ligue 2, Titi was anything but quiet. He contributed five assists in 20 appearances during the club’s promotion campaign, driving forward from the back and underlining why scouts from bigger clubs kept returning to watch him.

Now the challenge sharpens. The contract is signed, the faith is clear. The question is whether Yvann Titi can turn promise into authority and reproduce his Ligue 2 impact against the sharper, faster, unforgiving rhythm of Ligue 1.
