Victor Osimhen: The Missing Piece for Arsenal's Title Challenge

Dwight Yorke believes Victor Osimhen is the missing piece that could tilt the Premier League title race decisively towards Arsenal.

The former Manchester United striker, speaking to Reviant, painted a vivid picture of a forward tailor-made to bully English defences, insisting the Galatasaray star has exactly the kind of raw, relentless profile that centre-backs dread.

“Victor Osimhen to Arsenal would be huge. That would really cement them as favourites,” Yorke said. “I was actually looking at some clips today and he’s all action, isn’t he? All arms and legs, a little bit unorthodox, but he gets the job done.”

Yorke didn’t dress it up. Osimhen, in his eyes, is not about aesthetics. He’s about impact.

“He’s not the most elegant player you will ever see, but you will find him very awkward to play against,” he continued. “He’ll be a bit of a nightmare for these defenders because he’s a little bit old-fashioned in that sense.”

That “old-fashioned” line is a compliment. Yorke is talking about a centre-forward who stretches games, crashes into duels and never gives defenders a moment’s peace. At six feet tall, rangy and aggressive in the air, Osimhen fits the profile of a striker built for the chaos of the Premier League.

“He’s six-foot, he’s lanky, he’s decent in the air, he takes his opportunities, and he works hard,” Yorke said. “As a centre-forward, if you have those attributes, defenders are not going to look forward to playing against him.”

Yorke’s conclusion was blunt and emphatic. If Arsenal find a way to land Osimhen, he believes the title race might not stay competitive for long.

“If that were to happen, then I would say Arsenal would definitely run away with it.”
