Ruben Amorim's Last-Minute Changes for Lazio Clash

Ruben Amorim has ripped up his original plan at the last moment.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Milan coach has decided to leave Yunus Musah on the bench for today’s Serie A clash with Lazio, handing a starting berth in central midfield to Adrien Rabiot and pushing Ruben Loftus-Cheek into the No.10 role.

Musah dropped, Rabiot and Loftus-Cheek reshuffled

Musah had been widely tipped to line up alongside Luka Modric in a two-man engine room. Instead, Rabiot will anchor the middle of the pitch, with Loftus-Cheek operating higher up as the attacking midfielder behind the striker.

The rest of the XI stays untouched. Pervis Estupinan keeps his place as left wing-back, while Samuel Chukwueze returns to the starting side on the opposite flank, offering width and direct running on the right.

Italy starlet Alphadjo Cissé will join Loftus-Cheek as the other attacking midfielder, tasked with linking play and breaking the lines, while Gonçalo Ramos leads the line as Milan’s lone centre-forward.

Pulisic waits, but debut minutes loom

Christian Pulisic must again settle for a place among the substitutes. The American remains on the outside of Amorim’s starting plans for now, yet the coach made it clear on Friday that Pulisic will finally see his first minutes of the season in Rome.

Musah watches on, Pulisic waits for the signal, and Loftus-Cheek steps into the spotlight. Amorim has nailed his colours to this reshaped midfield — now it has to deliver against Lazio.
