Real Sociedad Signs Chelsea Defender Sarr on Loan

Real Sociedad have struck a deal with Chelsea to take 20-year-old defender Sarr on a straight loan, with no option to buy included in the agreement.

The Basque club had initially pushed for a permanent move, but talks hit a wall when Chelsea’s asking price climbed beyond what La Real were prepared to pay after their own significant outlay on the player. The solution was simple: a one-season audition in La Liga.
