Real Madrid have moved decisively to knock down growing speculation over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future, insisting the defender will not be leaving the Bernabeu in this window despite links back to the Premier League.
Reports of a shock return to Liverpool and interest from Newcastle United have gathered pace as deadline day approaches. Inside the club, though, the message is blunt: he is not for sale, and a departure is “completely off the agenda”.
Madrid still see the England international as a long-term pillar of their project, not a short-term experiment gone wrong.
