Mohamed Salah Driving Ban After Speeding Incident

Mohamed Salah has been banned from driving for six months and fined after a court in England found him guilty in his absence of failing to identify the driver of a luxury car caught speeding.

The Trabzonspor forward was convicted at Warrington Magistrates' Court in Cheshire after police were unable to establish who was at the wheel of an electric Rolls-Royce Spectre worth more than €466,000 when it was clocked speeding by a mobile camera in March 2026.

Salah, 34, did not tell officers who had been driving the vehicle, a decision that led directly to the charge of failing to identify the driver responsible for the offence.

The case came before magistrates in August 2026. With Salah not present, the court proceeded without him, relying on the documents and evidence already on file. The outcome was clear: a six‑month suspension of his driving licence and a €769 fine.

According to The Sun, two separate summonses were sent to Salah’s home, a mansion reported to be worth more than €5 million. Both went unanswered. With no appearance and no response, the court moved ahead and delivered its verdict in his absence.

It is not the first time the Egyptian forward has been in trouble over his driving. In 2022, police caught him driving a Ferrari F8 Tributo at excessive speed, a breach that brought a fine and three penalty points on his licence.

Go back a little further and the pattern continues. In 2018, he was recorded using a mobile phone while driving near Anfield, another brush with the traffic laws now sitting alongside his latest conviction.
