Max Eberl Commits to Bayern for Long-Term Success

Max Eberl has Bayern in his blood, and now he has it in writing for the long term as well.

The former youth player, who climbed through the club’s academy before returning in a leadership role, has committed his future to driving Bayern’s next chapter. For Eberl, the extension is less a career move and more a continuation of a lifelong bond.

“Bayern has been close to my heart ever since my time in the youth ranks,” he said, framing the new deal as a promise rather than a perk. He stressed that he wants to stay locked in step with his fellow board members, pushing on with the course already set and doing “everything I can to achieve sporting success” for what he called the “entire Bayern family”.

The backing from above clearly mattered. Eberl described the supervisory board’s decision as a “valuable vote of confidence” – one he is “very pleased about” and determined to justify.

CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen echoed that sense of responsibility and momentum. He opened by thanking the supervisory board for its trust, then quickly shifted the focus to the work ahead.

He spoke of continuing his role at Bayern “with energy and passion”, underlining that the executive board, staff, members and fans are all part of the same drive: to ensure Bayern “remains the top club of which we are all so proud”.

“That is what drives us,” Dreesen said. “And we still have a lot more to achieve.”

The message from the top of the club is clear: the standards are non-negotiable, the ambition remains sky-high, and the people in charge are tying their futures to that relentless pursuit.
