The pursuit of Iliman Ndiaye appears to have come to a halt after Everton’s £75 million price tag surfaced on August 2. That sum seems beyond United’s current budget, leaving Saudi club Al-Hilal in pole position, despite Ndiaye’s preference to stay in Europe.
On a brighter note, Manchester United are reportedly interested in midfield reinforcement from Juventus. The target is Teun Koopmeiners, a 28-year-old Dutch international who transferred from Atalanta BC to Juventus for £42.7 million in 2024. Aston Villa also want him.
Koopmeiners struggled for consistent playing time last season, starting only 18 out of 33 Serie A matches. Still, the need for an additional central midfielder has become urgent due to Manuel Ugarte’s ongoing knee injury.
There’s also talk of United exploring a move for Arsenal’s young winger, Myles Lewis-Skelly, valued around £38.5 million. He might be seen as an alternative to Newcastle’s Lewis Hall. Arsenal, though, are reportedly unwilling to sell the 19-year-old.
