Manchester United Sign Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah
Manchester United have struck a deal to sign Sweden international winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken, landing one of the most highly regarded wide players in the Damallsvenskan.
The 23-year-old is expected to complete her move before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, with only the final formalities left before she joins Marc Skinner’s squad. A fee will be involved, with Jusu Bah under contract at BK Hacken until 2028 after signing an extension with the Swedish club in September 2025, but the exact figure remains undisclosed.
A product of Swedish football, Jusu Bah came through at Umea and built her reputation there before earning a move to BK Hacken in 2023. Her rise has been sharp. Her pace and direct running have made her a constant outlet on the flank, and her performances in Europe have pushed her onto a bigger stage.
In May, she played a key role as BK Hacken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, underlining her ability to deliver in major games. That club form has translated into a growing presence on the international scene: Jusu Bah has 11 caps for Sweden and has featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year.
United are not done yet. The club are understood to be targeting at least one more signing before the window closes, as they attempt to deepen a squad aiming to stay in the thick of the WSL’s top-four battle.
The move for Jusu Bah continues a busy window at Old Trafford. United have already brought in defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, reshaping the spine of the team. Now they are adding pure attacking thrust out wide.
With the deadline looming and reinforcements arriving across the pitch, United’s intent is clear. The question is no longer whether they are building, but how quickly this new-look side can turn recruitment into results.
