Manchester United Sign Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United are set to add serious pace to their attack after agreeing terms to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the move before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, with only the final details left to be tied up. United will pay a fee to Häcken, though the figure has not been made public.

Jusu Bah is locked into a long-term deal in Sweden, having signed an extension with Häcken in September 2025 that runs to 2028, so United have had to negotiate her out of a secure contract. They clearly see her as a major piece of their next phase.

The winger has spent her entire club career in Sweden, breaking through at Umeå before earning her move to Häcken in 2023. Her rise has been sharp. In May, she played a key role as Häcken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, underlining her ability to deliver on a European stage.

Internationally, Jusu Bah has become a regular option for Sweden. She has 11 caps and has featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, giving her valuable experience in high-pressure fixtures.

United’s move for the Swede continues a busy window. The club have already brought in defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, reshaping the spine of the side.

And they are not done yet. It is understood United still want at least one more signing before the window shuts, with Jusu Bah set to be a headline arrival in a squad clearly being built to push harder on all fronts.
