Liverpool Pursues Bradley Barcola as Deadline Approaches
Liverpool’s pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola is turning into one of the window’s late sagas, with talks expected to run right up to the deadline, according to The Athletic.
The 23-year-old France international has emerged as Liverpool’s priority to strengthen their wide attacking options before the summer window shuts. He is the name at the top of their list, and the club have already moved decisively – but not decisively enough for PSG.
The French champions have set a huge price. PSG are demanding around €170m to even consider letting the former Lyon winger leave for Anfield, a valuation that currently sits well above Liverpool’s stance.
That gap has already been made clear in negotiations. Liverpool have seen an offer of €115m rejected by the Ligue 1 side, who are holding firm as the clock ticks down.
The stalemate has not shaken the player. According to L’Équipe, Barcola remains confident he will get his move to the north west of England before the window closes, despite the distance between the clubs’ positions.
Liverpool are expected to return with a new bid, one that would move closer to PSG’s asking price. The question now is simple: who blinks first as the deadline looms?
