Galatasaray Matches Osimhen Wages to Attract Bruno Fernandes

Galatasaray have stepped boldly into the race for Bruno Fernandes, with an insider claiming the Turkish champions are prepared to put the Manchester United captain on the very top rung of their wage ladder.

According to Emre Kaplan, the Istanbul club are willing to offer Fernandes a salary on par with Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, who currently sits as Galatasaray’s highest earner. That figure is now being used as the benchmark in their push for the Portugal international.

Fernandes has yet to agree fresh terms with Manchester United, and that uncertainty has opened a narrow window. Galatasaray are trying to force it wider.

They have identified the midfielder as a priority target and, crucially, are ready to back that ambition with serious money. The wage packet is only part of it. Kaplan says the club are also prepared to go all-in on the transfer fee.

“Galatasaray are prepared to offer Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Osimhen, who is presently the top earner in the squad,” Kaplan said, as reported by Habersarikirmizi. “They will also present whatever amount is necessary for the transfer fee. However, I believe that the reports circulating in the English media are being utilised in negotiations with United.”

So the numbers are clear. The situation is not.

For Galatasaray, this aggressive move fits a wider strategy: keep raising the level of the squad, keep adding star power, keep pushing beyond domestic dominance. For Fernandes, it lands at a delicate moment, with no new contract yet signed at Old Trafford and speculation swirling around his long-term future.

United hold the cards. Galatasaray are making sure they know exactly how much they are willing to pay to change that.
