Fenerbahce have made their boldest move of the summer, officially confirming the signing of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Napoli as they launch an all-out assault on Turkish football’s summit.
The Istanbul club kept the numbers quiet, but French outlet Foot Mercato values the deal at around 6 million euros, with bonuses and incentives potentially pushing that figure higher. For a forward of Lukaku’s pedigree, it is a striking price in a market that rarely offers bargains.
