Erling Haaland Completes Premier League Scoring List
Erling Haaland finally ticked off the last name on his Premier League hit list.
The Manchester City striker’s late goal in Sunday’s wild 5-3 win over Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium means he has now scored against every single one of the 25 teams he has faced in the competition since arriving in August 2022.
The last gap closed
For once, Sunderland had been his blind spot. Across his first two league meetings with them, Haaland had gone 159 minutes without a goal, three shots, no reward. For a striker who has torn through almost everyone else, it was a rare, nagging anomaly.
That tension lingered deep into the second half on Sunday. Then, in the 81st minute, he slid in at the back post to finally break them. The Etihad roared, Haaland wheeled away – and then stopped. VAR.
Just as in last week’s Manchester derby, the goal was initially ruled out and then restored after a review. Same script, same outcome. Another opponent crossed off.
A ruthless collection
Haaland’s numbers against Premier League clubs already read like a striker’s scrapbook of damage:

Every team he has faced in the league so far, he has punished at least once.

Hull on the horizon
The record is clean, but it is not complete. Haaland has never faced Hull City in the Premier League. That changes in City’s final league game before Christmas, currently set for 19 December.
If he plays, he will need a goal to stretch the run to 26 opponents out of 26. One chance to keep the 100% record alive.
Chasing Kane, miles from Lampard
Only one other player with more than a single Premier League appearance has managed to score against every opponent they faced: Harry Kane.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward, now at Bayern Munich, found the net against all 32 different clubs he played against in the Premier League. He is building something similar in Germany too, with goals against 21 of the 22 teams he has faced in the Bundesliga so far, Schalke 04 the only side to keep him out in his lone appearance against them.
Four other names sit on the same “perfect” Premier League list, but with a huge asterisk. Aidan Newhouse, Gary Bull, Chris David and Josh Harrop all scored in their only Premier League game, and so technically have 100% records against their opponents.
Haaland’s collection is on another scale, yet he is still nowhere near the record for the sheer number of different teams scored against.
That belongs to Frank Lampard, who struck against 39 separate clubs during his Premier League career. Andrew Cole follows on 38, with Jermain Defoe and all-time Premier League top scorer Alan Shearer both on 37.
Haaland has time on his side. The list will grow. The only real question is how many names English football will have left by the time he is finished.
