Crystal Palace Sign Defender Axel Disasi on Loan from Chelsea
Crystal Palace have moved to strengthen their back line with the loan signing of defender Axel Disasi from Chelsea, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old arrives at Selhurst Park after a stop-start spell at Stamford Bridge, where he made 61 appearances following his move from Monaco in 2023. Chelsea have reshaped their defensive options over the past two windows, and Disasi has now been pushed towards regular football elsewhere.
He knows the Premier League rhythm already. Last season, the France international spent time on loan at West Ham United, featuring 14 times in the league and offering solid cover in the heart of defence.
"I'm very happy. The club has been going in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to keep going," Disasi said in a statement, underlining the appeal of Palace’s recent progress.
Disasi also brings pedigree on the international stage. He was part of the France squad that reached the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, adding big-tournament experience to a Palace side aiming to climb further up the Premier League table this season.
