Coventry, West Ham, Ipswich Among Clubs Active in Transfer Market

Coventry City are in ongoing discussions with Sheffield United to bring back midfielder Gustavo Hamer. The 29-year-old previously played 132 games for Coventry before moving to Sheffield United in 2023. Talks continue, but the clubs differ on how much Hamer is worth as he enters the last year of his contract. If they can settle on a price, Hamer is eager to return and play Premier League football again after his stint in the 2023-24 season.

West Ham Pursues Former Tottenham Striker Troy Parrott

West Ham United, competing in the Championship, have set their sights on striker Troy Parrott, once with Tottenham Hotspur. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo aims to strengthen the squad's attack for a quick promotion back to the Premier League. After failing to land Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor, West Ham now target Parrott, who has scored 51 goals in 96 matches for AZ Alkmaar. The club faces competition from Como, Real Betis, PSV Eindhoven, and Ajax. While others offer Champions League football, West Ham hopes an £18 million bid will secure Parrott.

Ipswich Town Nears Signing of Florentino Luis

Ipswich Town are close to finalizing a deal for Florentino Luis from Burnley. After spending last season on loan at Burnley, Florentino made a permanent move earlier this summer. Burnley’s relegation opened doors for interest from Ipswich and Hull City. Although Hull pursued a loan, Ipswich is prepared to sign Florentino permanently. The transfer, reportedly around £16 million, will add to Ipswich manager Gary O'Neil’s midfield options alongside Azor Matusiwa, Marcelino Nunez, Jack Taylor, and Cameron Humphreys. Florentino passed his medical on Monday and should soon be officially announced.
