Chelsea's Transfer Window: Key Decisions on Neto, Mudryk, Leao, and Scott

Chelsea’s attacking plans are sitting on a knife-edge as the transfer window heads into its decisive stretch, with major calls looming over Pedro Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk, Rafael Leao and Alex Scott.

Neto interest grows as £100m price tag set

Pedro Neto’s future at Stamford Bridge is far from settled. Chelsea are not actively pushing him towards the exit, but they are ready to listen.

football.london understands Al-Hilal are among the clubs tracking the winger, joined by several unnamed Premier League sides. Chelsea are aware of the growing interest, yet no formal bids have landed on the table.

The message from the club is clear: Neto does not have a “for sale” sign on his back, but there is a number. The Blues are understood to value him at close to £100 million, a figure that underlines just how inflated the market has become for top-level wide players. Any move will depend on someone testing that valuation.

Coventry push for Mudryk loan as Chelsea weigh options

On the opposite flank, another winger could be on the move for very different reasons.

Coventry City are reportedly making a serious play to sign Mykhailo Mudryk on loan. According to Teamtalk, Frank Lampard’s side see themselves as “serious contenders” to land the Ukrainian, with Chelsea exploring temporary exits to guarantee him regular minutes now he has been cleared to play this season.

Chelsea are said to prefer a Premier League destination for Mudryk, a stance that could strengthen Coventry’s hand in negotiations. The club view a loan as a development step rather than a farewell. The report stresses that Mudryk still has a future at Stamford Bridge, even as they look to send him out this term to accelerate his progress.

Leao offered to Chelsea as Milan forward weighs options

While Chelsea juggle potential outgoings on the wings, an opportunity may have opened up at the other end of the market.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that representatives of AC Milan forward Rafael Leao have contacted Chelsea about a possible move. His camp have also spoken to other clubs, including Roma, during the summer as they gauge interest in the Portugal international.

An offer in the region of £34 million is claimed to be enough to tempt Milan into a sale for the 27-year-old, who joined the Serie A club from Lille in 2019. For a player of his profile and experience, that fee would represent one of the more eye-catching numbers of the window.

Scott remains on Chelsea radar amid Enzo uncertainty

In midfield, Chelsea’s plans hinge on the future of Enzo Fernandez.

Alex Scott of Bournemouth remains a live target if Enzo departs before deadline day. Chelsea recently issued what amounted to an unofficial ultimatum to Manchester City: they would sell Fernandez for £120 million, but City had until last Friday to act. No official bid arrived, yet City’s interest has not completely faded.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have already tested Bournemouth’s resolve. A £64 million offer for Scott was rejected last month, with sources insisting the 20-year-old is not for sale this summer. For now, Bournemouth are standing firm.

So Chelsea wait. If City return for Enzo, the dominoes could fall fast: Scott back in focus, Leao on the radar, Neto and Mudryk potentially on the move. One way or another, the shape of Chelsea’s attack and midfield over the next few years may be decided in a frantic final few days.
