Brighton Eye Femi Azeez with £15m Price Tag from Millwall

Millwall have slapped a £15m price tag on winger Femi Azeez as Brighton push to get a deal done before the transfer window closes.

The Premier League club, whose interest first emerged via BBC Sport, have already seen two bids knocked back in recent weeks, both totalling just over £10m. For now, that leaves them about £5m short of Millwall’s valuation.

Azeez is understood to be keen on the move to the Amex Stadium and the chance to test himself in the top flight. Millwall, though, are holding their line: he can go, but only if someone pays what they believe he is worth.

The 23-year-old has been left out of Millwall’s last three matchday squads, a notable omission given his impact last season. He hit 11 goals and supplied 11 assists in 35 league appearances, form that earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year and drew admiring glances from higher up the pyramid.

Millwall picked him up from Reading in 2024 for around £1m, a deal that now looks like one of the Championship’s smartest pieces of business. He is into the final 24 months of his contract, a ticking clock that only sharpens the stakes of this stand-off.

Wrexham have also registered interest, with the ambitious Welsh club monitoring the situation from within the Championship. But Azeez’s priority is clear: a move to the Premier League.

Brighton see him as one of their leading targets heading into Tuesday’s transfer deadline. The question now is simple: do they bridge the gap, or risk watching one of the Championship’s standout attackers stay put – or go elsewhere – while the window slams shut?
