Bradley Barcola Joins Liverpool: A New Chapter Begins

Bradley Barcola has signed for Liverpool, and he hasn’t come to make up the numbers.

The French forward completed a long-term move to Anfield after finalising his transfer and passing a medical at the AXA Training Centre, and will wear the No.29 shirt for the Reds.

"It's a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy," he told Liverpoolfc.com after signing. "It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.

"I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it's one of my biggest dreams in my life.

"It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that's why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it."

Liverpool are getting a forward with range. Barcola can operate anywhere across the front line, stretching defences out wide or attacking centrally, and he arrives with serious pedigree from a trophy-laden spell at PSG.

Across three seasons at Parc des Princes, he made 152 appearances, scored 39 goals and provided 35 assists. During that period he collected back-to-back Champions League titles and three consecutive Ligue 1 crowns, growing from a promising youngster into a key part of a star-studded squad.

His rise began at Olympique Lyonnais, where he made his senior debut in November 2021. In 47 outings for Lyon, he registered seven goals and 11 assists, form that earned him his move to PSG in August 2023.

The trajectory has been just as steep with France. Since making his international debut in June 2024, Barcola has already played 28 times and scored six goals for his country. Three of those came at this summer’s World Cup, where he featured in every game of France’s run to a fourth-placed finish.

Now the next chapter starts at Anfield, with a forward who has already tasted Europe’s biggest nights arriving determined to chase down an English title dream.
