This move comes despite earlier statements from Bayern’s leadership that their summer transfer activities were complete.

The German champions want to strengthen their attacking options and have identified Thiago as a suitable candidate to complement Kane. Italian journalist Nicolo Schira revealed that Bayern has shown serious interest and initiated early discussions about bringing the Brazilian forward to the Bundesliga.
The urgency for a specialist striker grew after the departure of Nicolas Jackson, who returned to Chelsea following his loan. With Kane as the main striker, Bayern lacks a natural backup, prompting them to reconsider their position on signing new players.

Last season, Igor Thiago impressed with 22 goals and 1 assist in 38 Premier League appearances for Brentford, ranking him second only to Erling Haaland in the scoring charts. His remarkable form has made him an attractive option for Bayern.
Despite this, Bayern faces a tough task in convincing Brentford to part with Thiago. The striker is under contract until June 2031, and reports indicate there is no release clause, meaning negotiations could be complicated.
