Anderson Talisca Leaves Fenerbahce for Al-Jazira
Anderson Talisca’s brief Fenerbahce chapter is over. His next stop is already waiting.
The Turkish giants confirmed on X that they have terminated the Brazilian’s contract by mutual agreement, drawing a swift line under a stint that began only in the 2024-25 mid-season window.
“Anderson Talisca joined our team's ranks during the mid-season period of 2024-2025, and his contract has been terminated by mutual agreement between the two parties,” the club announced, before adding a standard farewell: they wished him success in the next stage of his career.
That next stage looks lucrative and familiar in profile: another big-money move outside Europe’s top five leagues.
According to Transfermarkt, citing respected journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, Talisca has already reached an agreement with UAE side Al-Jazira. The deal would see him link up with compatriot Malcom, the former Al-Hilal forward, in what promises to be one of the headline attacking pairings in the UAE Pro League.
Ozbudak reports that Al-Jazira have agreed a two-year contract with Talisca, with an option for a third season. The numbers are significant. The Brazilian is set to earn a total annual salary of slightly more than €10 million, a figure that underlines why clubs in the Gulf and wider region remain such powerful magnets for marquee names.
For Talisca, formerly of Al-Nassr, it is another move that keeps him firmly in the orbit of the Middle Eastern game, where his blend of long-range power, set-piece threat and flair between the lines has long been prized.
The move is not yet signed and sealed. The final hurdles are routine but crucial: medical tests and the formal signing of contracts. Once those are cleared, Al-Jazira will have their new star, and Talisca will have his next stage – and another chance to light up a different skyline.
