World Cup 2026 Round of 32: Complete Bracket, Results, Matchups, Schedule, and Qualification Details

The 2026 World Cup Round of 32 is underway, with the Round of 16 matchups beginning to form. Seven teams have advanced after their knockout matches, while notable exits include Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands from this expanded tournament format.

The top two teams from each of the 12 groups advanced automatically, accompanied by the tournament’s eight best third-place finishers. The competition has shifted from group calculations to high-stakes knockout games.

Round of 32 Match Results and Upcoming Games

  • Sunday, June 28: Canada edged South Africa 1-0; Canada faces Morocco Saturday at 1 p.m. ET in Houston.
  • Monday, June 29: Brazil defeated Japan 2-1 and will meet Norway Sunday in New Jersey. Paraguay won on penalties against Germany (4-3) and will face France Saturday in Philadelphia. Morocco also advanced on penalties over the Netherlands (3-2), setting up a clash with Canada Saturday in Houston.
  • Tuesday, June 30: Norway beat Ivory Coast 2-1 and will play Brazil next. France dominated Sweden 3-0, advancing to face Paraguay. Mexico beat Ecuador 2-0, awaiting the winner of England vs. DR Congo on Sunday in Mexico City.
  • Wednesday, July 1: Matches include England vs. DR Congo at noon ET (Atlanta), Belgium vs. Senegal at 4 p.m. ET (Seattle), and USA vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina at 8 p.m. ET (Santa Clara, California).
  • Thursday, July 2: Spain plays Austria at 3 p.m. ET (Inglewood, California), Portugal takes on Croatia at 7 p.m. ET (Toronto), and Switzerland faces Algeria at 11 p.m. ET (Vancouver, British Columbia).
  • Friday, July 3: Australia meets Egypt at 2 p.m. ET (Arlington, Texas), Argentina plays Cape Verde at 6 p.m. ET (Miami Gardens), and Colombia contests Ghana at 9:30 p.m. ET (Kansas City).
